Update on China-US Trade Dispute

China suspending additional tariffs on certain imports from United States
For certain imports native to the U.S., which previously scheduled to be subject to tariff increases starting at 12: 01 on 15th. Dec., 2019, the 10% and 5% tariffs will not be imposed for the time being (Customs Tariff Commission under the State Council “CTC” Announcement [2019] No. 4), and the tariff increases on automotive and auto parts native to the U.S. will continue to be suspended ((Customs Tariff Commission under the State Council “CTC”Announcement [2019] No.5).

Imports continue to be subject to additional tariffs
Other additional tariffs and tariff exemption continue to be implemented in accordance with regulations. ●Regarding List 4 with total value of tariffs of 300 Billion USD, the U.S. indicates that with the ongoing negotiation the additional tariff on List 4A may decrease; List 4B will not become effective on December 15.
●Until now, the U.S. has announced the 17th batch of 200 Billion tariff exclusion lists (https://ustr.gov/issue–areas/enforcement/section-301-investigations/section-301- China/200-billion-trade-action)

●The deadline for submitting exclusion requests is January 31, 2020
