China Continues to Issue Exclusion List for US

The announcement announced the second exclusion list of the second batch of goods subject to tariffs.  From May 19, 2020 to May18, 2021 (one year), no more tariffs imposed by China for anti-US 301 measures will be imposed.  For refunding the increased customs duties and taxes, the relevant import enterprise shall apply to the customs within 6 months from the date of publication of the exclusion list.

US Official Announces List of Products Excluding Extension of Validity Period.

The fourth exclusion list of 34 billion items in the list expires on May 14, 2020.  The notice decided to postpone the exclusion validity period of some commodities (see next page for details) until December 31, 2020. Products whose validity period has not been extended will be removed from the exclusion list upon expiration, and an additional tariff of 25°/o will be levied.

US Official Exclusion of Validity and Effectiveness

The validity period of the extended product exclusion and levy is from July 6, 2018 to Dec 21, 2020.

Regardless of whether the importer has submitted an application for exclusion, enterprises that meet the exclusion conditions can apply.
