1. CHINA APPROVES IMPORTS OF KENYA’S WILD SEAFOOD PRODUCTS 

Since April 26, China approves the import of Kenyan wild seafood products that meet certain criterion.
Manufacturers (incl. fishing vessels, processing vessels, transport vessels, processing enterprises, and independent cold storages) exporting wild seafood products to China shall be officially approved by Kenya and subject to their effective supervision, and registered in China. 

2. CHINA-VIETNAM BORDER PORTS RESUME CUSTOMS CLEARANCE 

Recently, China has resumed the customs clearance at the Youyi Port, and the number of export trucks of agricultural products has increased significantly.
On April 26, the Beilun River 2 Bridge Port was reopened, giving priority to the settlement of the accumulated trucks and spare parts, as well as mechanical products serving the production activities of both parties. Frozen products are still not allowed to go through the customs formalities. 

3. CHINA TO PURCHSE 6TH ROUND OF FROZEN PORK FOR STATE RESERVE 

China plans to start the 6th round of frozen pork from the state reserve this year on April 29, and plans to purchase and store 40,000 tons of pork.
For the first five batches from 2022 to the present, the planned purchase and storage is 198,000 tons, and the actual purchase and storage is 105,000 tons. The fourth batch of purchase and storage only sold 3000 tons, and the fifth batch was all passed in.
At present, the domestic pig price in China is on rise, and the listed price of state reserve purchase is no longer attractive to local pork manufacturers.

4. CAMBODIAN FRUIT EXPORTS HIT BY SOARING TRANSPORTATION COST

According Cambodian media reports, the transportation cost of Cambodian fresh fruits exported to China has risen to 8,000 US dollars, and the transportation cost of exports to Europe and the US has risen to 20,000 US dollars, which has caused the export of fresh fruits to be blocked this year.
